Dieser Paperweight wurde 1986 auf Wunsch von Gerard Ingold und Paul Jokelson (ohne ihn hätten die Paperweights wohl keine neue Blütezeit erlebt) in die Kollektion genommen. Der Grund war ein antiker Paperweight mit diesem Motiv, der gerade auf einer Auktion einen unerwartet hohen Preis erzielt hatte.

Original text of Saint-Louis:
Marie-Antoinette’s bust is represented by a hand-made ceramic mould. Her hair made of clear and white twisted crystal filigree and is styled according to the fashion of the time, full of generous volume and curls.
She is framed by two garlands of her favourite flowers and ribbons, inspired by the famous floral headboard in the Queen’s bedroom at the Palace of Versailles with its roses, lilies, lilacs and flower buds. The "Saint-Louis 2022" vintage is at the base of the garlands.
The whole of this decor is set against the backdrop of a royal blue bottom. This dark blue emblematic of the Saint-Louis maison is that of the royal blue, the blue of the kings of France. The paperweight is adorned with an ample diamond cut to represent the Queen’s crown.

The Marie-Antoinette paperweight was developed in partnership with the Château de Versailles. The "Château de Versailles" and "Saint-Louis" logos can be found side by side on the box.

The Aviary is home to ten colourful birds: Canaries, Gouldian finches, Inseparables, and the most talkative of them all, an Ara macaw, the king of parrots. They fly, sing and dance unfettered in their crystal palace. In the centre stands a majestic, multicoloured tree.
A true feat of the atelier, the paperweight is almost entirely made up of clear crystal with remarkable purity. Mica dust, created from the natural mineral stone with its golden hue, is delicately sprinkled around the birds to form a soft golden cloud.
Finally, the paperweight is cut with a high bevel on the side representing the open door of the Enchanted Aviary.

The scene is nestled at the heart of a multicoloured millefiori that hides the blue Saint-Louis 2023 vintage. When the paperweight is in motion, a captivating optical effect animates the abundant multicoloured millefiori.
